Size Guide

Cats come in every shape, so a quick measurement is the best way to get a comfortable fit. You'll need a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler) and, ideally, a few treats.

How to measure your cat

  1. Neck: measure around the base of the neck, where a collar would sit.
  2. Chest: measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. This is the most important measurement.
  3. Back length: measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.

Keep the tape snug but not tight. You should be able to slide two fingers underneath.

Size chart

Size Neck (cm) Chest (cm) Back (cm) Weight (kg)
XS 18–22 26–30 20 1–2
S 22–26 30–35 24 2–3
M 26–30 35–40 28 3–4.5
L 30–34 40–46 32 4.5–6
XL 34–38 46–52 36 6–8

Choosing between sizes

  • Go by chest first, then check the back length.
  • If your cat is between two sizes, choose the larger one for a relaxed fit.
  • Fluffy breeds like Persians and Maine Coons often need a size up.
  • Weight is only a rough guide. Two 4 kg cats can have very different builds.
